Its Almost the New Year... Looking to the GOLD......

I  no longer make New years resolutions.... to lose weight.. to  stop smoking or any of the normal ones...they are so trivial and boring...  This year I am going to resolute myself to get more shoes..!!

but me I think my thing is shoes... I love shoes and the better the cobbler the happier I am...

Although I made a mistake and bought the redwood I was trying for black the rosewood is a great color

My absolute faves are Gos  N-Core n Lynx...

but  along with  them is a  Maitreya Gold...

they have lots of subtle color change options so you can get it right laces straps and buckles  have options

Another great Shoemaker that I would like to give a chance is Moody

because I  honestly have only tried on her Anniversary shoes and I hated the way they fit me...

the ankle cankle breaky thing just made me wanna scream..

I honestly haven't tried on any since then so maybe this year we will see how it goes.

A friend of mine purchased me a Maitreya Moxi shoe and  it got me wanting more... Maitreya didn't give me these ones either but I do love them and they look so REAL.... And they are so lovely I  just have to share even though there are prolly lots of mentions of these glorious boots... I  don't think I have ever heard a bad thing said about Maitreya..  So so so lovely... and on the top of my A listers....

Lets begin my new year with  some boots made for walking....

 I have almost a quadrillion pairs of pants and tank tops etc..

But what attracted me to her stuff was the interesting patterns textures and fabrics...
That and the fact I am curious and wanted to be one of the first few

I didn't miss the sale of this sky box for 10L but all in all it is a bargain at 180L because of its multi uses and its detail to textures for such a small amount of room and prims . The main reason I mention it was 10L is that if you watch for his new releases he ALWAYS releases them for 10L and I have several that I will be showing in my blogs as backdrops for my  photos.. the shadows and lighting and his use of glow is well worth every tiny little L that he is asking..  I am shocked its not for more Lindens but Not really.. why not get  more active sales than just the one. Be aware these are perfect for photogs and bloggers due to the lighting and textures... so not jsut for the little skybox with style..  very versatile..  this link will bring you to a whole A:S:S  load of skyboxes at sinfully low costs .

Santa visits my humble abode.... and starts trouble

Something was stirring

at 

PRAVDA Dark Couture

and it wasn't a mouse

He had been quiet for several days ... He was working on something..

Now hanging around Pravda's 

I had not noticed any Christmas scenes or anything

I could recall as being Christmas like..  

Lots of Gothic Statues and dark builds.

but no Santa or little elves to be seen anywhere....

I think he had them hidden in a dungeon or something because

 when I inquired about what was next..

a whole lot of packages reigned down upon my head

and a set of Christmas trees in three sizes

of the likes of which I had not seen before 

In my SecondLife... Very much like my First life. 

These Christmas Trees looked real enough 

that if I closed my eyes I could smell the fresh cut pine

It seems Christmas magic was finally happening for me

I could feel it in the air as I examined the trees and discovered

the many details and the care taken in creating them

I was perfectly satisfied with this ... until

A man in a red suit came in behind the trees... 

It was Jolly ol Saint Nic and 

he was pointing a finger right at me

then he brought it to his lips as if to shush me

and I stood there  and waited quietly as he brought in friends

and a sack of goodies and gift

wrapped in simple snowflake paper

As tears came to my eyes and I wondered at the finery 

I began to realize that this Christmas was almost here

and I was unprepared. Finances were low and

The spirit of giving was all but a flicker in my heart.

For I felt I had nothing to offer yet again to all of my lovely friends

All the trappings of Christmas seemed to 

be just that

a
trap

 When suddenly it dawned on me
that my gifts were not solid and they were not always warm
and sometimes they were fleeting and hard to see in the Flurry that is me... 

My coming and going my hellos and goodbyes.. my waves and my smiles... 

all a flicker and gone within a twinkling of an eye.

So.......

I gave him in return something fleeting and beautiful

something uniquely the same as everyone else  but never the same

because it was from me..

A snowflake

it represents Beautiful Chaos

and he smiled... knowing me and all that I am

And he accepted my fleeting gift with grace and smiled some more

for a long time

he stood behind me while I decorated the tree

he stalked me for hours

holding onto his bell

 I found out that if you touch his bell the room is filled with a beautiful Christmas carol 

that can be preloaded so the song runs smoothly and it set the mood  for the holiday spirit.

I got issues with Snowflakes Today

   A snowflake is the ultimate natural beauty... 

Part of its allure is the Mystery that even baffles the scientists to this day they wonder at the creation of the simple snowflake that in its simplicity is complex... and delicate to create..

the conditions have to be just right for it to form...  and the scientist march on trying to figure out  how a water molecule will become a six sided wonder... that we call a snowflake..

The science will continue on  as they get closer to the mystery that is the snowflake...
and even when they finally figure it all out.. I will still stand in awe and marvel at its creation.. So... Here in my little cybergirl persona I will do my part to discover...
